Mayan Ruins

The Mayan people named Cancun and even built some of their monuments on Cancun Island.  You can visit the Ruinas el Rey on Kukulcán Blvd. without even traveling that far from your hotel.  Larger ruins are located on Cozumel, and entire Mayan Cities are located just south of Cancun in the jungle.  Rent a car or jeep and drive down to see them while you are here on vacation, or take a formal tour of the ruins through Aquaworld.
